I can't wait for summer

This song was on repeat non-stop last summer.

I've been trying to make healthier choices recently and I'm happy to say that I've actually been able to stick with it for a few weeks. Yes, I too have jumped on the 'green juice' bandwagon but in my defense I fell in love with this stuff a long time ago when I fist tried it in Mexico. It's such an easy way to eat a bunch of greens at once while feeling like you're treating yourself with a yummy smoothie everyday. Also, all the models drink this stuff so who knows, maybe it's actually a beauty elixir.
*With all the vitamins you're getting, I wouldn't even be surprised.
A great blog I like to look at for smoothie recipes is fashion model Valentina Zelyaeva's personal raw food diet blog --->    http://blog.valzelyaeva.com
A lot of the Victoria's Secret models (current and retired) have said one of their beauty secretes was just eating healthy and incorporating lots of fresh greens into their diets. Of course another tip the girls give that is more obvious is staying active and working out regularly.

So, I've also began working out. It sucks and it's hard but I can feel myself gaining muscle (which is super rewarding) and it's such a great way to combat stress. Also I'm trying to get that beach bod before summer, haha.
To help stay motivated I've been following some fitspo blogs on tumblr (which are actually very helpful). I'm also taking a seminar in abnormal psychology that focuses on stress and cardiology. The class has really opened my eyes to how important exercise is (beyond the vain reason of: it makes you look better naked) for overall long term health.
So for my basic smoothie, usually I will use some mixed frozen berries, Kale, some fresh fruits, and almond milk (all organic) and blend it all up to make a very tasty green juice smoothie.

Spring quarter is alright but I'm already planning for summer activites. One of my primary plans is exploring restaurants when I'm down in Seattle for the summer. I'm currently in the process of making a bucket list. So when I came across the latest issue of Seattle magazine (best restaurants editions) I had to buy it!
I also bought some goodies on account of me getting a kind-of-job.
  1. vintage cat-eye sunnies
  2. neutral makeup for $1.25
  3. organic Shea butter hand cream
  4. nude nail polish

I also came across this super funny coffee mug of Freud. I hate Freud but being a Psychology major I felt like I had a moral obligation to get it. I also got this super cute ceramic coffee/tea travel mug.

post exams enlightenment

Winter quarter was quite hard. Actually, it was very hard and tiring and most definitely the reason I'm totally burnt out despite having three more months till summer. Although, I still have my weekendsUnlike winter, spring quarter's motto will be: work hard, play hard (because life is just too short to be serious all the time). So whether it is just getting lunch with friends or "going HAM," my weekends will be dedicated to just having some F U N!
I'm realizing that hard work is good, but it's pointless when you don't have balance.

After my last final I got sangria at a cute cafe with friends from class and a few days later went crazy on a party bus in Seattle with my best friends.

I adore this piece from the first issue.
